เมื่อวันที่ ๑๙ พฤษภาคม ๒๕๕๘ นายดำรง ใคร่ครวญ เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงกัวลาลัมเปอร์ ได้เข้าเยี่ยมคารวะดาโต๊ะซรีฮิชัมมุดดิน ฮุสเซน รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหมมาเลเซีย เพื่อแนะนำตัวในโอกาสเข้ารับหน้าที่ ในโอกาสนี้ เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้มีโอกาสหารือข้อราชการและแลกเปลี่ยนข้อคิดเห็นกับรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงกลาโหมในหลายประเด็น อาทิ ความร่วมมือทางการทหารซึ่งดำเนินไปอย่างราบรื่นและมีความแน่นแฟ้น การพัฒนาพื้นที่ชายแดนในภาคใต้ของไทยและภาคเหนือของมาเลเซีย ประเด็นปัญหาการคมนาคมขนส่งข้ามแดน และสถานการณ์ที่สำคัญในภูมิภาค โดยเฉพาะปัญหาที่เกี่ยวข้องกับชาวโรฮีนจาและการค้ามนุษย์

 

On 19 May 2015, H.E. Mr. Damrong Kraikruan, Ambassador of Thailand to Malaysia, paid a courtesy call upon Y.B. Dato' Sri Hishammuddin bin Hussein, Minister of Defence of Malaysia, to introduce himself upon taking up his assignment in Kuala Lumpur. On this occasion, H.E. the Ambassador had an opportunity to discuss and exchange views with Y.B. the Minister in many areas such as military cooperation, development of border areas, cross-border logistics, and important regional issues, especially one involving the movement of the Rohingyas in the region.
